Event to Assist Olmsted County Residents Dealing with Storm Damage Happening Friday

The event is being held at the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Training Center, located at 1550 50th St. SE. Residents who experienced home or vehicle damage as a result of the severe weather can receive assistance in person.

The event includes help for residents needing to check the status of their insurance claim, anyone with questions about coverage, deductibles, repair estimates, figuring out what paperwork an insurer needs, learning what to do if a claim is delayed or encounters complications, and more.

Renters and homeowners in the county are welcomed to attend the free event. An active insurance claim is not required to obtain assistance.

What to Bring

Attendees are asked to bring insurance documents and paperwork related to any claim they have, so staff can give them more specific answers and support.

Residents who are unable to attend but are in need of help can contact the Department of Commerce at 651-539-1600 or consumer.protection@state.mn.us.
