
Injured Woman Found Walking on Road Following Crash Near Hayfield

Deputy finds woman walking along County Road 1
Sheriff Steve Sandvik says the crash was discovered when a deputy came upon a 33-year-old woman walking along Mower County Road 1 in Waltham around 5 a.m. The woman reported that she had been involved in a single-vehicle crash.

Vehicle found severely damaged in ditch
The deputy then located a severely damaged vehicle in the ditch near an intersection along a rural road between Waltham and Sargeant. The crash site is approximately 5 ½ miles south of Hayfield.

Woman transported to hospital
The injured motorist was transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Her name and information about her medical condition have not been released.
