The Traitors Premieres September 17 With New Cast Format

If you are a fan of the Traitors hosted by Alan Cumming, then you probably already know that there is a new twist for this year's season. Usually the cast of Traitors consists of former and current reality stars. People that the rest of the world knows, or have probably at least heard of. That is, if you are familiar at all with reality TV.

THIS POPULAR SHOW IS INTRODUCING A NEW TWIST

Reality stars have been the cast formula for the last two seasons. The first season consisted of "regular people" and reality stars. This year, they are going back to the first season formula, with the exception of the reality stars. This year the entire cast is made up of "regular people".

MEET THE CASTMEMBER FROM ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA

The regular people cast includes people from all over the United States, included one from right here in Minnesota. Abbey Lee, who is an astrophysicist, is from St. Paul There is another Abbey in the cast, not to be confused with the first, she is a nurse.

This season, the usual streaming on Peacock show, will be aired on regular network tv. In this market, it's will be on channel 11, NBC. Then will air the next day on the Peacock streaming network. That is the usual formula for all other NBC shows. This may be the start of a new trend for Traitors, or just a one off. Since it's regular people, the producers wanted to make sure that the show was available to everyone who wants to watch it.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE SHOW - HERE IS HOW THE GAME WORKS

Castmembers travel to Scottland. There, they sit at a round table, like King Arthur. While blindfolded, Alan Cumming will walk around the table and touch the shoulder of 3 people. Those 3 people will then be the Traitors, and it's up to the rest of the cast, the Faithfuls, to figure out who the Traitors are while completing challenges and trying to build that $250 pot. In the end, if there is still a Traitor standing, they take it all. If it's all Faithfuls at the end, they split the money pot.

HERE IS WHEN TO TUNE IN THIS SEASON

The new season starts on September 17th on NBC. Maybe give it a watch. I'm already rooting for the person from Minnesota. Because ya know, it would be cool to have a person from Minnesota win. That's all. Gotta root for someone.
