The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says the closure is to allow crews to complete the final paving of Hwy. 52, to remove the temporary bridge work on the new I-90 westbound overpass and to paint the bridge rails and beams.

Dates for crews to close the highway to complete the work have been shuffled around due to forecasted heavy rains.
