Rochester, MN (RochesterNow)- A Rochester man has been charged in a criminal sexual conduct case.

The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Friday, says Rochester police responded to the alleged sexual assault on Wednesday at an apartment building in northeast Rochester.

Responding officers found the victim stumbling outside of the apartment and eventually collapsed. She was given narcan, the complaint says.

The victim told police she was in her apartment and a man identified as 61-year-old Barrie Allen Skweres had given her what she described as a Celsius energy drink.

She said the next thing she remembered was waking up in the hallway of the apartment building and her neighbors telling her Skweres was molesting her, the charges say. 

Officers reviewed footage from a camera stationed in the hallway. 

Alleged Sex Assault Captured on Video

The video showed Skweres and the victim standing outside of the victim's apartment with the victim appearing to be unconscious while standing and eventually falling to the floor.

The complaint says Skweres is seen sexually assaulting the victim and stopping when people were walking by. An unidentified couple passed through the hall, saw the alleged sex assault and intervened, the complaint says.

Officers found Skweres nearby and took him into custody. He told police he was with the victim when she passed out then left her in the hallway because her neighbor would help her, according to the complaint. 

Skweres is charged with attempted third-degree criminal sexual conduct and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. His conditional bail was set at $100,000 and he’s due back in court next month.
