Fire Confined to Garage at NW Rochester Split-Level Home
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Fire Department responded to a garage fire Saturday night.
4th of July Garage Fire
A news release says the fire was reported just before 9:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Buckingham Drive Northwest. The report indicated smoke and flames were coming from the garage at that address.
Attached Garage on Split-Level Home
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a fire in the attached garage of the split-level home. The news release says the fire was quickly extinguished and was confined to the garage.
No Injuries Reported
A search of the home determined that no one was inside, and no injuries were reported. The fire was prevented from extending into the living areas of the residence, but the home required ventilation to remove smoke and toxic gases.
Significant Damage
A dollar loss estimate is not available, but the Fire Department indicated there was significant smoke and fire damage in the garage.
